LONGVIEW, Wash. (AP) — Metal thieves are the likely suspects in the disappearance of dozens of storm drain gates, water meter lids and manhole covers in Longview.

The Daily News reports each storm drain gate costs the city about $115 to replace. A 75-pound storm drain gate would be worth about $10 as scrap metal

Three men who were arrested last month while removing steel pins from a roadside barrier had a catch basin grate in their pickup truck.
