Letter: Challengers don’t meet qualifications

Right-wing ideologues with no experience in governance are challenging Washougal City Council positions. Challengers include a cosmetics salesperson and a school bus driver. Our resident libertarian also is up for re-election. Washougal cannot afford this social experiment.

We need people with proven dedication to our community. It’s understandable why voting out incumbents is attractive, but we must replace them with candidates who are equal or better.

Molly Coston and Rod Morris have proven their worth. It would be a terrible mistake to replace them. Joyce Lindsay is the only challenger who has seriously prepared to take on the work of the council.

Coston, Morris, and Lindsay deserve our vote.
