Soroptomist forum to focus on women’s issues

Soroptimist International of Southwest Washington will sponsor a public forum Monday to focus on two pressing womens’ issues: breast health and domestic violence.

Speakers will include Savenia Falquist, outreach coordinator for the Cowlitz Tribe’s Pathways to Healing program, and Beth Landry of the YWCA Clark County’s SafeChoice Domestic Violence program.

The free public program is set for 6 to 7 p.m. Oct. 10 at YWCA Clark County, 3609 Main Street.

Soroptimist is an international organization for business and professional women who are working to improve the lives of women and girls around the world. There are nearly 95,000 Soroptimists in 124 countries.
