ORANGEBURG, S.C. (AP) — Asheton Jordon rushed for 226 yards on 22 carries and South Carolina State scored two touchdowns in the final 10 minutes to defeat North Carolina Central 49-38 on Saturday.

The Bulldogs (3-3, 3-1 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference), who trailed 24-21 at halftime, built a 35-24 lead early in the third quarter, but the Eagles (1-4, 0-2) regained the lead, 38-35, with 10:49 to play.

Johnson completed 29 of 47 passes for 315 yards and two touchdowns for the Eagles and was intercepted once.
