Alabama A&M routs winless MVSU 37-14

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (AP) — Deaunte Mason threw for three touchdowns and Alabama A&M dominated Mississippi Valley State 37-14 Saturday for the Bulldogs’ fourth straight win.

Alabama A&M (4-2, 3-1 Southwestern Athletic Conference) scored 28 unanswered points, sparked by Corey Hart’s 33-yard fumble recovery for a touchdown just 54 seconds into the game.

After Kaderius Lacey scored on a 2-yard run, Mason threw touchdown passes of 29 yards to G’Alonzo Milton and 11 yards to Terrence Pride.

Garrick Jones found Joseph Hardnett for a 34-yard touchdown to put the Delta Devils (0-6, 0-5) on the scoreboard, then Mason hit Kenneth Harris for a 27-yard score. Alabama A&M scored on a safety to lead 37-7 at halftime.

The Bulldogs have won 15 of the last 16 games against Mississippi Valley State and lead the overall series 18-7.

The loss was the 17th straight for the Delta Devils, who have lost 19 consecutive conference games.
