Brown’s 3 TDs lead Bryant past Stonehill 42-7

SMITHFIELD, R.I. (AP) — Jordan Brown rushed for 228 yards and three touchdowns to lead Bryant to a 42-7 rout over Stonehill on Saturday.

Brown, who finished with 26 carries, scored on runs of 2, 1 and 58 yards for the Bulldogs (4-2). His final touchdown of the game gave Bryant a 28-0 lead early in the third quarter.

Brown amassed 269 all-purpose yards, becoming the second player in Bryant history with 4,000 all-purpose yards in a career (4,107).

Stonehill, a Division II team, struggled to contain Brown and Bryant’s offensive surge that totaled 476 yards.

Ricardo McCray finished with 72 yards rushing on 12 carries and had a touchdown for Bryant. Mike Croce completed 7 of 13 passes for 147 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions.

Stonehill quarterback Jesse Hunt threw for 221 yards and one touchdown, completing 12 of his 28 passes.
