STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) — The takeaways are coming in bunches for No. 6 Oklahoma State.

After defensive coordinator Bill Young expressed disappointment in the Cowboys for forcing only three turnovers through their first two games, OSU has come up with 14 takeaways in its last three games to surge up to sixth in the country in the category.

The Cowboys forced two fumbles and intercepted two passes in the first half of a 70-28 rout of Kansas on Saturday, and the team’s high-powered offense turned each one into seven points.

Defensive end Jamie Blatnick, who recovered a fumble and got his first career interception, says the turnovers just come naturally because it’s the primary focus for the defense every day in practice.
