INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — The Indianapolis Colts are bringing back defensive tackle Dan Muir.

Team officials said they re-signed the 6-foot-2, 312-pound lineman just as practice was wrapping up. He spent the last three seasons in Indy, becoming a key cog in the interior rotation.

He signed with St. Louis as a free agent when the lockout ended, but was released by the Rams.

The fifth-year veteran rejoins a team with which he made 24 starts and already knows the defense and his teammates.

To make room on the roster, the Colts waived offensive lineman Mike Tepper, who played in one game after being activated from the practice squad.
