Less blustery Rex looks to pull Jets out of skid

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) — The New York Jets left New England with their third straight road loss and lots of questions about whether they can regain their swagger and save their season.

Much of that will depend on whether a still-confident Rex Ryan can rally his troops while facing a must-win home game against winless Miami next Monday night. The jokes aren’t flying from Ryan as they did in his first two seasons as coach, and the juicy sound bites might be a bit toned down and not as frequent.

A losing record and a humbling skid can do that to even the loudest of teams. The Jets say they’re convinced they’ll be OK, pointing to how they’ve rebounded in similar circumstances the last two seasons and made it to the AFC championship game.
