BROSSARD, Quebec (AP) — The Montreal Canadiens will be without forward Michael Cammalleri and defenseman Jaroslav Spacek for the next few weeks.
Cammalleri is expected to miss between 10-14 days because of a deep cut on his right leg. He escaped more serious injury as no muscle or tendon was cut when he appeared to make contact with teammate Yannick Weber’s skate during a 5-1 win at Winnipeg on Sunday. He is to be re-examined on Saturday.
Spacek, who is believed to have sustained a rib injury when he was checked into the boards, will be out up to three weeks with an undisclosed an upper body injury, coach Jacques Martin said Tuesday.
