Historian to talk about Columbia salmon

Portland State University history professor Bill Lang will visit the Camas-Washougal Historical Society on Oct. 15 to present slides and talk about the history of salmon and the Columbia River at the society’s fall quarterly meeting at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Camas Police Station, 2100 N.E. Third Ave. A question and answer period will follow.

Lang is the author or editor of several books, including “Great River of the West: Essays on the Columbia River,” and “Two Centuries of Lewis and Clark: Reflections on the Journey of Discovery.”
