House Democrats warn supercommittee against cuts

WASHINGTON (AP) — House Democrats are telling Congress’ supercommittee that its efforts to control the national debt must include job creation and higher revenues while avoiding damaging cuts to domestic and defense programs.

Ahead of a Friday deadline for submitting advice to the supercommittee, top Democrats on House panels have written letters with their recommendations.
