Camping will close for the winter beginning Nov. 1 at three Oregon state parks in the Columbia River Gorge.

Viento, eight miles west of Hood River; Memaloose, 11 miles west of The Dalles, and Ainsworth, 17 miles east of Troutdale, will reopen between mid-March and mid-April, depending on the weather.

When the parks reopen, Discovery Season rates will apply through April 30. Those rates generally are $4 per night less than summer rates on standard RV and tent sites. Rates are reduced as much as $20 per night for deluxe cabins and yurts.
