EUGENE, Ore. (AP) — The U.S attorney’s office says a 61-year-old man who used some of the money from seven Oregon bank robberies to pay prostitutes and exotic dancers has been sentenced to more than 13 years in prison.

At Thursday’s sentencing, U.S. District Judge Ann Aiken also ordered Ferrell Lee Brier of Eugene to pay more than $33,000 in restitution. He earlier pleaded guilty to robbing the banks over an eight-month span between October 2009 and May 2010. Brier hit banks from Sherwood, near Portland, south to Salem, Eugene, Grants Pass and Medford.

He admitted carrying a .45-caliber pistol during the robberies.
