Bears DE Peppers may miss Vikings game

LAKE FOREST, Ill. (AP) — Chicago Bears defensive end Julius Peppers is doubtful for Sunday’s home game against the Minnesota Vikings.

Peppers, the team’s top pass rusher, has a sprained left knee and did not practice Friday.

Nick Reed, Mario Addison, and possibly Amobi Okoye could see time replacing Peppers. Corey Wootton is also available, but he is suffering from a broken hand and may not get much playing time.

The defense for the Bears (2-3) has struggled. Safeties Chris Conte and Major Wright will start against Minnesota (1-4) in place of Chris Harris and Brandon Meriweather.
