AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — Texas freshman quarterback David Ash has made his first career start against No. 6 Oklahoma State.

The No. 22 Longhorns have been rotating Ash and sophomore Case McCoy the last three weeks. Ash threw two interceptions in a 55-17 loss to No. 3 Oklahoma last week.

Ash led the offense to one first down on his first series Saturday, then threw two incompletions before Texas’ first punt. On Texas’ second drive, Ash completed two passes before throwing an interception that set up Oklahoma State’s first touchdown on a run by Joseph Randle for a 7-0 lead.
