An interagency task force comprising 300 law enforcement officers and federal agents swept across Clark County Thursday morning in what police say is the largest drug bust in local history.

No. 2) Young man jumps from I-205 bridge

Emergency responders in boats searched the Columbia River downstream of Interstate 205 on Thursday after a man was seen jumping from the bridge.

No. 3) 49 people arrested in massive drug raid appear in court

One by one, they entered the courtroom — the suspects arrested in Clark County’s largest drug bust in recent memory. The first 13 who appeared were women, followed by dozens of men. In all, 49 drug suspects faced a judge Friday.

No. 4) Live blogging Occupy Vancouver protest

The Columbian used live blogging to cover Saturday’s Occupy Vancouver protest. The event ran from noon to about 3 p.m., with a 1.5-mile march from downtown Vancouver.

No. 5) ‘Occupy Vancouver’ rally scheduled for Saturday

Local organizers planned a nonviolent one-day “Occupy Vancouver” event Saturday, including a march and a rally at Esther Short Park, to “show this nation that we are aware of the injustices,” in the words of organizer Dan Walker, and to show solidarity with the October 15 International Day of Occupation.
