PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Gov. John Kitzhaber is asking the Oregon Lottery to postpone a new Internet game site called The ORcade because he’s worried the cartoon graphics and online games may appeal to minors.

The Oregonian reports (http://bit.ly/nhcodQ ) Kitzhaber has called a meeting Tuesday with Lottery Director Larry Niswender and Lottery Commission Chairman Steve Ungar to talk about the site’s rollout.

The ORcade was supposed to go live this month or next, offering second-chance jackpots for losing scratch-off tickets, free video games and social networking.

Kitzhaber spokesman Tim Raphael says he will ask the commission to review its marketing campaign to make sure it’s not targeting youngsters.
