EUGENE, Ore. (AP) — A 27-year-old Springfield man convicted of raping a woman while she was passed out was sentenced Monday to 15 years in prison.

Lane County Circuit Judge Debra Vogt told Lamar Alex Davis he was extremely dangerous to women, noting the victim was unable to defend herself. The attack happened in August at a Eugene apartment where the woman was sleeping after celebrating her 24th birthday with a night of drinking.

The Register Guard reports (http://bit.ly/pKYkzg ) the attack was interrupted by another person in the apartment who called police.
