SEATTLE (AP) — Police say the deaths of a couple at their West Seattle home appears to be a murder-suicide.

Spokesman Mark Jamieson told KOMO Radio it appears a man shot his wife and then himself.

Police responded about 3 a.m. Wednesday when a man called 911 and said he had shot his wife.

Officers surrounded the home and attempted to contact the man. A SWAT team entered about four hours later and found a man and woman dead.

Neighbors told KOMO (http://bit.ly/qBGFgd) the wife had been very sick.
