Hough — A show of support. That’s what Hough Elementary School neighbors gave their school children Oct. 5 on International Walk to School Day. Families, school personnel, community volunteers and public health staff took the morning to help some 75 students walk and bike to school safely. Rep. Jim Moeller, D-Vancouver, a Hough alumni, joined the group. Eric Giacchino, a parent advocate and Vancouver firefighter working to develop a youth bike safety coalition, helped organize the event along with the school and the Hough Foundation.
