Letter: Students, help tidy up your planet

I was surprised to read that, according to Kevin Robinson’s Oct. 20 letter, “Expectations unrealistic,” many Heritage High School students care nothing about their environment. It seems that they are so busy with “things to do, places to go, and people to see,” that they don’t have time to deposit pop cans, aluminum foil and paper in available collection bins. This is the generation that bewails the fact that adults are ruining the world, which these students will eventually inherit. Perhaps it would be a good idea to take a few minutes from twittering, tweeting and texting and help tidy up their future planet.
