Salmon Creek — Cathy Anna Mayer Encouraging Others (CAMEO) donated $26,000 on Sept. 27 to the Washington State University Vancouver program At Home At School. Mayer died in 2004 due to complications of breast cancer. After her death, her family and friends created CAMEO as a reflection of her love for her four young children, family, friends and community.

“AHAS enriches the lives of our most vulnerable citizens — underserved children — by providing them a community and an opportunity to thrive academically. AHAS promises them a future,” said Tina Eifert-Anderson of CAMEO.
