PRINCETON, N.J. (AP) — Jeff Mathews passed for a touchdown, Ryan Houska ran for one and Rashad Campbell returned a kickoff for another score as Cornell cruised past Princeton 24-7 on Saturday.

Mathews was 19 of 28 for 224 yards and Houska finished with 108 yards on 26 carries for the Big Red (3-4, 1-3 Ivy League), who snapped a six-game conference slide and a seven-game skid on the road.

Princeton led 7-3 after Tommy Wornham connected with Chuck Dibilio from 20 yards out with 2:06 to play before halftime. But Campbell ran back the ensuing kickoff 78 yards for the touchdown and a lead Cornell wouldn’t relinquish.

Houska scored on a 3-yard rush in the third quarter and Mathews hit Kurt Ondash for a 10-yard TD for the final margin in the fourth.

Princeton outgained Cornell 309-303 on offense, but also committed the game’s only three turnovers.
