PHOENIX (AP) — The Arizona Diamondbacks have added some help for the stretch run.

NL West-leading Arizona reinstated infielder Geoff Blum and left-hander Alberto Castillo from the disabled list on Thursday, and recalled right-handers Ryan Cook and Sam Demel from Triple-A Reno.

Blum went on the DL on July 25 with a broken right pinky and had previously missed 92 games with right knee inflammation.

Castillo went on the DL on July 30 with left shoulder tendinitis and missed 30 games. He was 1-0 with 0.96 ERA in 12 games before going on the DL.

Cook was 0-1 with a 21.60 ERA over four games in two separate stints for the D-backs. Demel was 2-2 with a 3.60 ERA in 32 games for Arizona before being optioned on Aug. 1.
