Nearly 10,000 pot plants seized near Wapato, Wash.

YAKIMA, Wash. (AP) — Nearly 10,000 marijuana plants have been pulled from a vineyard in central Washington’s Wapato area.

Federal Drug Enforcement Administration agent Rey Lopez tells the Yakima Herald-Republic those plants were torn out Thursday. He says one person is in custody and four weapons were seized.

Wapato is south of Yakima.
