Northwestern QB Persa questionable for BC game

EVANSTON, Ill. (AP) — Northwestern quarterback Dan Persa, is still recovering from a ruptured Achilles’ tendon, is listed as questionable for Saturday’s opener at Boston College.

Northwestern released its injury report Thursday.

Persa set a Big Ten record last season for completion percentage, but was injured after throwing a game-winning touchdown pass against Iowa in the 10th game of the season.

The Wildcats lost their last three games without Persa.

Kain Colter is Persa’s backup.
