PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Oregon health officials have lifted health advisories for Heceta Beach in Lane County and Harris Beach in Curry County.
The advisories were issued Thursday after marine water samples at both beaches showed higher-than-normal levels of enterococcus, a type of fecal bacteria. The Oregonian reports that subsequent testing shows the contamination has subsided.
