PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — The El Paso Corp. is holding a ribbon cutting ceremony Friday in Malin, near the California border, to celebrate the completion of a 680-mile pipeline that carries natural gas from Wyoming.

The $3.5 billion project was completed in July.

The Oregonian reports (http://bit.ly/nsCoL1) the market for most of the natural gas is in California, but it lessens the need for a liquefied natural gas terminal in Oregon.
