CINCINNATI (AP) — The Bengals have placed cornerback Adam “Pacman” Jones and linebacker Keith Rivers on the physically unable to perform list, meaning they’ll miss at least the first six weeks of the season.

Jones had offseason neck surgery and couldn’t participate in contract drills during training camp. Rivers had surgery on his right wrist and is wearing a cast.

The Bengals also released guard Max Jean-Gilles, who signed as a free agent during training camp, and third-string quarterback Dan LeFevour on Saturday. They’ll go with two quarterbacks — Andy Dalton and Bruce Gradkowski.

Right guard Bobbie Williams was suspended for the first four games for violating the NFL’s ban on performance-enhancing substances.
