ALBANY, Ore. (AP) — A 48-year-old Albany man has died after he lost control of his car and struck a tree.

KVAL-TV reports (http://bit.ly/p7Mfmo) that Albert Soto Jr., was driving north on Clover Ridge Road when his 1998 Dodge Avenger left the road, went through a ditch and became airborne before striking a tree and coming to rest upside-down.

The Linn County Sheriff’s Office says alcohol and speed appear to be factors in the crash.
