RICHLAND, Wash. (AP) — A small earthquake has struck near Richland in southeast Washington. Saturday night’s quake was felt by residents but police say there were no reports of any injuries or damages.

The U.S. Geological Survey says the 3.7-magnitude temblor struck at 9:13 p.m. and was centered about nine miles north of the city.

Richland police Sgt. Curtis Smith says a few people called his office to say they felt the rattling.

A USGS website that records local reactions to quakes had more than two dozen responses from Richland.
