Letter: Insults are disgusting

Recently Mitt Romney accused President Obama of deliberately trying to make our country go downhill. I have heard some terrible things from the right side about our president, but I have never heard a more disgusting remark come from any candidate. This is a desperate and vicious attempt to stir up more votes for his own interest. Such a statement is below the belt and deserves an apology from a coward such as this individual.

I did not have much respect for George W. Bush or Dick Cheney, but I would never accuse them of deliberately letting our country go downhill. Ever since this president has been in office, he has received nothing but negative reaction from Republicans and he gets blamed for everything that has gone wrong. There is no support from Republicans whatsoever and he needs their votes. Their main goal is to make sure he does not get elected for a second term.

Our government never used to be this way. The parties fight each other every day in spite of a disgusting approval rating. The nonpartisanship they always talk about is something that will never happen, not as long as we have what we have. May God help us.
