STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) — Oklahoma State senior safety Johnny Thomas has been ruled ineligible for the remainder of the season.

The 5-foot-11, 205-pound Thomas, who started 11 games last season, was ruled ineligible by the school on Tuesday.

Thomas, who had three interceptions and was fourth on the team last season with 63 tackles, missed the ninth-ranked Cowboys’ 63-14 season-opening win over Louisiana-Lafayette last weekend over an eligibility issue.
