A Camas woman was in satisfactory condition Sunday night at a local hospital after being injured in a motorcycle crash Saturday night.

Darla D. Mentzer, 42, is in PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center. She was a passenger on a motorcycle driven by Richard Mentzer, 54, of Camas.

The Washington State Patrol said Richard Mentzer failed to negotiate a curve from southbound Interstate 205 to eastbound state Highway 14 about 6:27 p.m. The motorcycle went off the road and struck a jersey barrier, ejecting both driver and passenger, the patrol said.

Richard Mentzer was treated for injuries at PeaceHealth and released. He was driving a 2005 Kawasaki 800cc motorcycle.

The patrol said the accident was caused by going too fast.
