Twelve people were arrested in Clark County over the Labor Day weekend on suspicion of driving under the influence, police say.

State patrol spokesman Ryan Tanner said troopers arrested 12 people in 10 accidents between Friday and Monday. There were no fatalities or reports of serious injuries caused by the collisions, Tanner said.

Across the state 343, drivers were arrested by troopers on suspicion of DUI, he said.

“I was blown away by that,” Tanner said Monday. State patrol worked hard around the state to bring in that amount of arrests, he said.

Those numbers are for state patrol only and do no reflect anyone arrested by the Clark County Sheriff’s Office, Vancouver Police Department or other law enforcement agencies around the county and state.

Last year on Labor Day weekend, 18 Clark County residents were arrested on suspicion of DUI and 360 were arrested throughout the state.
