PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — A federal judge in Portland called a sex offender a lifelong pedophile as he sentenced the 42-year-old to 15 years in prison for possessing child pornography.

Judge Robert E. Jones called Kevin J. Heasley a “very disturbed individual” at Tuesday’s sentencing, noting that some of the images found on his computer included babies.

The Oregonian reports (http://bit.ly/oL3ua9 ) Heasley served nearly six years in prison for abusing a 10-year-old boy and was released in 2008. Probation officers found child pornography at his home in 2009.

Heasley told the judge he’d been show images of naked children during his treatment and that put the idea in his head to view more child pornography.
