Corvallis hires city manager from Sherwood

CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) — The Corvallis City Council has hired Sherwood City Manager Jim Patterson as the new city manager in Corvallis.

The Corvallis Gazette-Times reports (http://bit.ly/orGEwX) the three-year agreement calls for an annual salary of $140,000.

Patterson will be responsible for an annual budget of $121 million and 440 city employees.

He replaces Jon Nelson who retired after 19 years with the city.
