GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) — Jordin Sparks will sing the national anthem before Thursday night’s season-opening game between the New Orleans Saints and Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field.

The daughter of former New York Giants and Dallas Cowboys cornerback Phillippi Sparks is a former winner of “American Idol.”

The league also announced that a group of 32 NFL alumni, one representing each team, will take part in pregame ceremonies. Hall of Fame quarterback Bart Starr will represent the Packers, and former running back Deuce McAllister will represent the Saints.

The Packers also will unveil a championship banner.

The league previously announced that Kid Rock, Lady Antebellum and Maroon 5 will perform before the game on a stage outside Lambeau Field.
