Learn about financial aid, scholarships at workshop

Washington State University Vancouver will offer a free, “A-Z of Financial Aid & Scholarship” workshop on Thursday for prospective college students and their families.

The session runs 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., in the Student Services Center, Room 101 at the WSUV campus, 14204 N.E. Salmon Creek Ave.

Workshop material will cover such questions as:

• What scholarships are available?

• What is financial aid?

• What happens after I file my FAFSA?

• When will I get my award letter, and how do I read it?

• When, and how, do I get my money?

Five similar workshops are scheduled for different hours and days this fall, starting on Sept. 27.
