LONDON (AP) — Second-ranked Lee Westwood and British Open champion Darren Clarke have been included in Britain & Ireland’s team for next week’s Vivendi Seve Trophy against Continental Europe in Paris.

Top-ranked Luke Donald of England and U.S. Open champion Rory McIlroy of Northern Ireland will miss the match, but Britain & Ireland captain Paul McGinley can also call on Ian Poulter and Ross Fisher, who were part of Europe’s 2010 Ryder Cup-winning team.

Jean van de Velde’s Continental Europe side includes Denmark’s Thomas Bjorn, a back-to-back winner in the last two European Tour events, and Italy’s Matteo Manassero, who at 18 years and 152 days becomes the youngest player in the tournament’s history.

The four-day tournament is held from Sept. 15-18.
