INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Colts owner Jim Irsay says in a Twitter post that Peyton Manning may miss more than just Sunday’s game at Houston.

Irsay tweeted that Manning could be out “awhile.” He did not provide a timetable for Manning’s return.

The tweet reads: “We had a good practice yesterday and r guys r fired up 4 the season. (hash)18’s out for awhile, but compete, we will/BELIEVE.”

Manning has already been ruled out of Sunday’s season-opener, ending his streak of 227 consecutive starts including the playoffs. The streak is the second-longest among quarterbacks in NFL history, behind only Brett Favre.

The big question is when the only four-time MVP in league history will return.
