EAST WENATCHEE, Wash. (AP) — Two hunters weren’t far from their car near East Wenatchee Thursday when they saw a car prowler break the window.

The Wenatchee World reports (http://bit.ly/rhFIRc) the dove hunters fired their guns into the air and at least one shot into the suspect’s car as he fled.

Douglas County sheriff’s Chief Criminal Deputy Robbin Wagg says deputies located the car and an 18-year-old East Wenatchee man who was driving it. The case has been turned over to the prosecutor’s office for possible charges.
