Construction to limit Park and Ride spaces

Construction will significantly limit parking at the C-Tran Park and Ride lot in Salmon Creek during the next two weeks.

Washington State Department of Transportation crews are removing almost 150 spaces from the north end of the 500-space lot to make room for new stormwater ponds. The ponds are being built as part of the $133 million Salmon Creek Interchange Project near the convergence of Interstate 5 and Interstate 205.

The drop in parking will be temporary — C-Tran is scheduled to open a new Park and Ride on Northeast 10th Avenue on Sept. 25. Public transit users can still park in the existing lot until the new facility is open.
