RICHMOND, Ky. (AP) — Jeremiah Williams ran for two touchdowns, and T.J. Pryor returned from an injury to gain 215 yards in Eastern Kentucky’s 28-24 win over Missouri State on Saturday night.

Williams finished with 119 yards on 24 carries for the Colonels (1-1). Pryor had 69 yards on 14 carries and was 14 of 22 passing for 146 yards and a touchdown after sitting out last week with an injured hand.

After a field goal pulled Missouri State within 14-10 just 48 seconds into the fourth quarter, the two teams traded scores over the next minute.

The Colonels scored on an 88-yard TD return following a Missouri State (0-2) field goal, but the Bears responded just as quickly. Jermaine Saffold caught a 71-yard pass from Trevor Wooden to make it 21-17 with 13:45 left.

Pryor then led the Colonels on a 59-yard, 13-play drive, which resulted in a 12-yard touchdown run by Williams to seal it.
