EVERETT, Wash. (AP) — Investigators say a 2-alarm fire that destroyed a daycare south of Everett was arson.

Snohomish County Fire District 1 says the size of the fire Sunday night at the Red Apple Preschool and Child Care and its rapid spread through the two-story building were two factors that indicated it was set.

Damage is estimated at $450,000.

A $10,000 reward is offered through the Arson Alarm Foundation for information leading to an arrest.
