CHICAGO (AP) — Chicago Bears receiver Sam Hurd and defensive end Corey Wootton are inactive for Sunday’s season opener against the Atlanta Falcons.
Hurd has been bothered by an ankle injury. Wootton was injured covering the opening kickoff in the first preseason game against Buffalo and underwent arthroscopic surgery on his right knee. Both players were listed as questionable. The Bears had already ruled out running back Marion Barber because of a calf injury.
Anthony Adams (calf) was active, but Matt Toeaina starts at nose tackle in his place.
The Falcons were missing center Todd McClure and defensive tackle Corey Peters, who had been ruled out because of knee injuries.
