SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) — The Spokane County sheriff’s office says a 25-year-old man accused of murder has been found dead in his jail cell.

Sgt. R. David Reagan on Sunday says deputies discovered Tristan N. Jordan Saturday morning when they went to his cell to serve him breakfast. Detectives who investigated the death reported finding nothing suspicious. A cause of death will be determined by the medical examiner.

Jordan was booked into the Spokane County Jail last December on a second-degree murder charge. He was accused of fatally shooting his girlfriend last December.
