Annual safety open house set for Saturday

Demonstrations, displays, health screenings and kids’ activities are on tap as the Public Safety Complex at the Clark County Fairgrounds opens its doors for an annual open house.

The event is set for noon to 4 p.m. Saturday at 505 N.W. 179th St.

Local firefighters and sheriff’s deputies will demonstrate auto extrication techniques. There will also be sprinkler, fire extinguisher and K-9 demonstrations. Other offerings include a bounce house, a junior firefighter challenge, refreshments, health-screening opportunities, giveaways and more.

A Life Flight helicopter will arrive at 1 p.m.
