LAUSANNE, Switzerland (AP) — The Court of Arbitration for Sport has banned Brazilian forward Jobson for two years after he tested positive for cocaine in two tests after Brazilian league matches in late 2009.

The CAS panel upheld a World Anti-Doping Agency appeal to extend Jobson’s ban to two years after a Brazilian sports tribunal reduced it to six months. However, the ruling allows the 23-year-old player to resume his career in March 2012 because he already served six months and the case took so long to prosecute.

Jobson, who acknowledged his addiction, played for Botafogo when he failed the tests.
